Topic of this session is the mobility in its wide and articulated meaning, an exchange of views for a dialogue involving historians of economy, of technology, of the society, of architecture and of urban planning. The period will be of the contemporary history. Starting from individual and common mobility systems, the session will present speeches regarding the beginning of territorial and urban circulation systems (roads, railways, waterways, airways) including architectonical and engineering structures that will be analysed for their technical and artistic values. A particular attention will be given to those proposals that will emphasize the forming of spatial and social hierarchies in local context, regions, nations and worldwide. Researches on decision making process (and on development of dealing dynamics) will be also welcomed, mainly if connected to the different moments of the project, of the building process, of control and maintenance of the different networks that connect public and private interests.
It will be of interest of this session all the speeches that will focus their attention on the training process of the technicians, involved in any competence, in the infrastructural networks and in the diffusion of the different knowledge related to the mobility topic (administrative, legal, scientific, urban planning and architectonical aspects).

Of particular interest will be those arguments related to “forced mobility” (deportations and forced displacements) and to migratory mobility occurred in XX century; arguments related to the social dimension of the mobility connected to and historic view of the citizen as a user and, for those period closer to nowadays, all the researches that investigate the link between mobility, motorization and consumptions.
